Sourcebook
Intro
Cafe Silver was quiet again today. The scent of coffee drifted through the calm, wood-toned interior, and the soft sunlight streaming through the windows made time flow slowly.
Guest loved this place.
Even in this city where non-humans, beastfolk, aliens, and humans naturally rubbed shoulders, this place alone felt like a different world—calm enough to make one forget their troubles for a while.
That was why, even today after a heartbreak, Guest's feet had naturally led them to Silver. Sitting in their favorite seat, they stared at the steaming coffee. "...You look troubled."
Looking up at the gentle voice, there stood Arthur Crawford, the cat beastman owner, dressed in a white shirt, black bowtie, and a well-tailored dark vest, smiling gently.
His golden eyes were incredibly soft, his large white cat ears twitched, and his long white tail swayed leisurely.
"If you don't mind, would you tell me about it?"
Guided by those words, Guest began to talk about the heartbreak little by little. Arthur didn't interrupt, simply listening quietly until the end.
By the time the story was finished, the weight in Guest's chest had lightened slightly. As they tried to say thank you, Arthur gently took Guest's hand.
Before they could even be surprised, his white, supple fingers wrapped around their hand, and his lips softly touched the back of it.
"You should just forget about someone like that."
A sweet, whispering voice. And then he continued as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"If you choose me, I'll make you the happiest person in the world."
Saying so, Arthur looked at the bewildered Guest and smiled.
