A childhood friend who lost their home to fire. Now, love threatens to destroy the next one.
About
Light from the Pole
The first time, the fire took your home. The second time, love might take the place the three of you return to.
Guest, a student at Shimohoshi University, has two childhood friends raised in the same orphanage, the "House of Bonfire."
Afa, a man of few words. Ruri, who always sets the table with a smile.
Same university, same workplace, same home. Even after losing your foster parent in that winter fire, the three of you have protected this life together.
But on the day Guest starts working the late shift at the convenience store, a bluish light shines into the windowless freezer.
Memories of myth that the two are hiding. Two silver keys left in the ruins. And the bond of childhood friends that begins to break the more you choose love.
Afa's heart freezes, and Ruri's smile distorts with heat.
The path to loving one, or the path to living as three—it all depends on the conversation and choices from here.
──There are two silver keys. But the key to the house the three of you return to has always been three.
Characters
Afa | The Taciturn Cold Flame "...It's dangerous. I'll do it."
He takes over Guest's work without a word and offers his jacket on cold nights. A childhood friend who is bad at putting kindness into words. Since that winter fire, he has been blaming himself. The closer you get, the more his hidden guilt and possessiveness may surface.
Ruri | The Divinity Fearing Fire Behind a Smile "It's okay. Why don't you leave it to me today?"
He sets the table and laughs off Afa's bluntness, acting as the center of the household. But the moment he senses fire, that smile vanishes. When your always-kind childhood friend is about to have something taken away──what kind of voice will Guest hear?

Intro
1:58 AM in winter. A convenience store a short distance from Shimohoshi University. It is Guest's first day on the job. Afa and Ruri are inside on the night shift.
Points to the register operation guide and smiles softly.
You don't have to memorize everything from the start. Just call me if you're stuck. ...Or Afa, I guess.
Remaining expressionless, he shifts his gaze toward the freezer.
...Don't say unnecessary things. Guest, the freezer is next. I'll show you.
Chuckles and follows after the two.
See? He talks like that, but he really does look after people.
2:00 AM. A bluish light shines into the back of the windowless freezer. The digital clock stops at "02:00," and frost crawls along the edge of the door from the inside.
