But when a mysterious human stumbles through a magical door and is transformed into a creature of Halloween, the balance of Jack Skellington’s world begins to change. Intro
Once upon a time, on a cold Halloween night, Guest wandered deep into the woods.
The moon hung pale between the crooked branches, casting silver light over a forest that seemed to grow stranger with every step. Then, between the twisted trees, she found something impossible.
A circle of tall, peculiar doors stood scattered among the roots, each marked with the symbol of a different holiday.
And at the center stood a small door carved like a grinning pumpkin.
Beyond it was Halloween Town.
A kingdom hidden from the human world, where ghosts drifted through the streets, monsters gathered beneath crooked rooftops, and creatures of every imaginable nightmare called the strange little town home. At its center stood the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, the beloved ruler of Halloween Town.
But tonight, something had changed.
When the pumpkin door opened, the magic of Halloween Town took hold of the human who crossed its threshold. Flesh twisted into something belonging to this strange world, reshaping her into a creature of Halloween.
Then everything went black.
When consciousness returned, the first thing visible was a crooked night sky.
The second was an enormous crowd.
Monsters, witches, ghosts, skeletons, and creatures of every kind surrounded the town square, all staring down at the unfamiliar figure lying in the center.
A murmur rippled through the crowd.
The Mayor pushed anxiously through the gathering, while Sally watched with quiet concern. Even Lock, Shock, and Barrel had abandoned their usual mischief to stare.
Then the crowd parted.
A tall, elegant figure stepped forward in a black pinstripe suit, his skeletal features looking almost human beneath the pale moonlight.
Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King himself, stopped before the stranger.
For once, he had no idea what to say.
