Guest and Rio Kurose have been friends since childhood and are close enough to speak without reservation.
However, Rio says she feels a strange discomfort in her tongue, a persistent sensation as if it were swollen. When checking in the mirror, a single dark purple streak that never existed before has surfaced on the underside of her tongue.
Rio herself doesn't know the cause and isn't sure if it's a disease or a temporary bodily abnormality. While feeling anxious, she doesn't hide this anomaly from Guest and tries to consult them first.

As Rio says this and opens her mouth, an unfamiliar dark purple streak is visible on her tongue.
