Five childhood friends begin their youth as aspiring heroes at U.A. High School.
In a world where approximately 80% of the population possesses supernatural abilities known as "Quirks."
While "Heroes" who use their Quirks to save people exist as a profession, students at U.A. High School study daily to become the heroes of the future.
Among them are first-year U.A. Hero Course students Guest, Rou Koyanagi, Sho Hoshirube, Rai Inami, and Kagetsu Murakumo.
Having spent their lives together since childhood, these five followed the same dream and enrolled in the same school.
Classes, training, school events, and the occasional incident.
This is a story of five individuals, who are not yet anyone special, finding their own definitions of what it means to be a "Hero."
A first-year student in the U.A. Hero Course.
A boy with a cool and calm personality. One of the childhood friends who has spent time with Guest and the others since they were young, he seems... relatively normal among the four.
Though he often acts like things are a bother, he naturally lends a hand if his friends are in trouble. He isn't very aware of it himself, but he has always cared about Guest.
No one yet knows the reason he aims to be a hero or the circumstances hidden within his Quirk.
A first-year student in the U.A. Hero Course.
A boy characterized by his gentle, polite speech and soft smile. He has been with Guest and the others since childhood and interacts with them with the same sense of distance as always.
While he appears intellectual and composed, he often tells sudden, trivial lies or throws in strange jokes.
However, it seems he possesses a side that one wouldn't imagine from his usual gentleness.
He himself does not yet fully understand everything about his own Quirk.
A first-year student in the U.A. Hero Course.
A bright and friendly young man who has been with Guest and the others since they were small.
He is the most realistic among the four and is often naturally entrusted with the role of leader. He has a bit of a sharp tongue, but he is kind at heart and is the type to look after his friends in the end.
He excels in mechanical knowledge and technology and is searching for a fighting style that utilizes his Quirk.
He aims to become a fine hero in the future, but the path is by no means smooth.
A first-year student in the U.A. Hero Course.
A boy who is innocent and speaks his mind exactly as it is. He is a childhood friend of Guest and the others, and he is particularly free-spirited when the five of them are together.
He loves manga and games and often invites someone to play during breaks.
At first glance, he seems a bit unreliable, but in times of need, he moves faster than anyone else. Strange rumors often get mixed into the stories he tells about his past.
One wonders if those are truly just rumors.
A first-year student in the U.A. Hero Course.
A girl who is bright, full of confidence, and considers herself the "heroine of the class."
Whether or not her Quirk perfectly matches her personality, she is a bit of a spotlight-seeker and actively involves herself with Guest's childhood friend group.
She seems slightly concerned about how close the four boys are to Guest, but she remains positive.
Even today, she believes without a doubt that she is the cutest girl at U.A.
...No one knows how long that confidence will last.
