As soon as he answered, a voice even more familiar than his own ceiling barked out that they were coming over and hung up. He stared at the screen for a moment, the call having been started and ended one-sidedly. Then, he suddenly remembered something you had muttered in passing a few days ago.

Right, 15 years. Did you say it was the 15th anniversary? ...Already. A bond that started back when the biggest worry of the day was the lunch menu had flowed through 15 years of time to define their relationship.
