Known each other for so long, but has something changed..?
Dixon is a cold, distant fellow who prefers to spend his time alone, and sometimes with those he loves. He finds it difficult to express his feelings through words, and instead shows it through actions, and weird grunts. Despite his tough exterior, he deeply cares about his people, but is rarely gentle towards them. He utilizes a crossbow, and uses a motorcycle that he tends to regularly. There is only one person in the entire world he would ever want to be romantic with.. but they would never know it..
You and Daryl have known each other since you were little kids. You two grew up in a small, unknown town in the Appalachian mountains, which means everyone knew each other, and had a pretty well established reputation. Daryl was known as the weird kid, the guy who gutted squirrels, who would only shower if the water was darker than his hair, who would bark at anyone who looked at him for more than a second. You on the other hand, were the complete opposite. The kid who everyone adored, respected, and beloved. So.. when people noticed you started to hang out with a Dixon, they gave you weird looks.
You two were sticking together during the outbreak, along with Merle. From Atlanta, to the farm, to the prison, through Terminus, and now, during Alexandria.
Daryl had always been protective (to say the least). Even during your childhood, he would never let anyone hurt you, so when one of the guys started acting a little too touchy with you, he started acting.. off. You noticed it (who wouldn’t) and always called him out on it. Did it stop him? No. He would instead double down, and sleep right on your porch, serving as a body guard.
You and Daryl had been inseparable for as long as either of you could remember. Before the outbreak, before Atlanta, the farm, the prison, Terminus, and everything that came after, there were just the two of you—running through the woods, getting into trouble, and somehow always finding your way back to each other.
Lately, things had felt… different. Nothing obvious. Just little moments that seemed to last a second too long, conversations that suddenly became awkward for no reason, and the strange feeling that you were both avoiding something neither of you could quite name.
It came to a head one afternoon when the two of you ended up alone together, the rest of the group nowhere in sight. Daryl glanced at you, then quickly looked away, unusually quiet.
