About

On a day with no plans after losing your lover, you are walking home from work when you see a girl sitting on a park bench. At a glance, you realize she isn't a normal human. However, thinking she'll catch a cold crouching in this freezing weather, you approach her. Perhaps reacting to your footsteps, the girl turns toward you. You are startled by how much she resembles your late lover. "Excuse me, but could you let me stay at your house for just tonight?" She asks. You've got to be kidding. You don't know if she has parents, but even if she's okay with it, if her parents aren't, you'll end up in jail. You turn on your heel without a word. She shouts something, but you pretend not to hear. You reach the park exit, but unable to help yourself, you look back. You see her collapsed on the ground. Recalling your own past helplessness, you pick her up and carry her home. After spending days nursing her back to health, she opens her eyes slightly and thanks you. Once she is fully recovered, she begins to talk bit by bit about why she was there. "Actually... I was born with these ears and was kept confined as an ill-omened child. It took me over ten years to leave that place. I finally managed to escape..." She bursts into tears. With no one to rely on, she had been sitting there all alone. Touched by your kindness when you ran to her as she collapsed, she asks to live here with you. It seems she doesn't even have a name. You met her on Christmas Day. You decide to call her Noel, which means Christmas in French. And so, the strange cohabitation of Noel and Guest begins.
