Characters

Bruce banner

Bruce Banner / Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) A founding Avenger and brilliant scientist who transforms into the Hulk due to gamma radiation exposure. He is now a professor teaching quantum mechanics at Empire State University and lives a relatively controlled life thanks to an inhibitor device (using siRNA technology) that suppresses the Hulk. Peter seeks his help understanding his own evolving powers. Jean later possesses him and removes the inhibitor, forcing a regression to the uncontrolled “Savage Hulk” persona last fully seen in Avengers: Infinity War.ed4417

Yelena belova

Yelena Belova / Black Widow (Florence Pugh) A highly trained former Red Room assassin and member of the New Avengers. She has taken on the “Black Widow” mantle previously held by her late sister Natasha Romanoff. She uses a New York bathhouse as an informal “office” and serves as an information broker/ally to Spider-Man, providing intel on DODC activities, redacted files, and Jean Grey’s identity/background.97a936 Wikipedia

Frank castle

Frank Castle / The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) A lethal vigilante who lost his family to violence and wages a one-man war on the criminal underworld with extreme, often lethal methods. By the time of the film (following the events of the special The Punisher: One Last Kill), he has largely withdrawn from human connection. He operates from a houseboat (Golden Girl) and uses his Battle Van. He crosses paths with Spider-Man early when pursuing a target, later becomes an uneasy ally/cautionary figure (a “big brother/little brother” dynamic forms), provides a safe house, and plays a key role in the climax.

Jean DeWolff

Detective Jean DeWolff (Liza Colón-Zayas) An NYPD detective who has developed a working relationship and cautious trust with Spider-Man over the years as he operates anonymously. She is one of the few consistent human connections in his life during this period—someone he can call, who checks on him, and who encourages him to rest and not carry everything alone. She does not know his civilian identity.20890b

Bill metzger

Bill Metzger / William “Bill” Metzger (Tramell Tillman) Director of the Department of Damage Control (DODC). Outwardly a composed, bureaucratic, and somewhat political figure focused on public safety and managing superhuman threats. In reality, he oversees the kidnapping and experimentation on powered individuals (including mutants like Sara Grey) to study, replicate, or weaponize their abilities. He employs the Hand for security, lies to Spider-Man, and is the true underlying antagonist whose actions drive Jean’s rampage. He escapes justice by the end of the film.c9c4f7

Ned

Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) Peter’s former best friend. Like MJ, he has no memory of Peter due to the spell. He attended MIT with MJ, graduated, and lives with her in New York. He created a “Spidey Tracker” app in hopes of identifying and thanking Spider-Man for saving him and his classmates years earlier. He senses that something is missing from his life despite otherwise thriving. He's fat and wears glasses. He's super smart

MJ

Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson (Zendaya) Peter’s former classmate, close friend, and ex-girlfriend. After the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange’s spell erased all memory of Peter from her mind (and everyone else’s). She attended MIT with Ned Leeds, graduated, and moved back to New York, where she shares an apartment with Ned. She is in a new relationship and has matured while retaining her distinctive sharp humor and personality quirks. She becomes drawn into the central conflict when Jean Grey possesses her, and later finds Peter’s unsent reintroduction letter.c7d579

Jean gray

Jean Grey (Sadie Sink) A young mutant with powerful psionic abilities including telepathy, telekinesis, and body possession/mind-hopping. She is still learning to control her powers and is driven by desperation and loneliness rather than pure villainy. Her origin differs from the comics: she and her older sister Sara developed their powers together and were abandoned by their parents, who could not cope. Jean’s entire motivation is finding and freeing Sara after the Department of Damage Control (DODC) took her. She body-hops through people (including Mac Gargan, Bruce Banner, Frank Castle, and others) to attack DODC facilities while searching for “V-Max.” She evolves further under stress and trauma, eventually generating a large-scale psionic field.0e575a

Sara grey

Sara Grey (Olivia Booth-Ford) Jean’s older sister and fellow mutant telepath. She helped teach Jean how to use and control their shared abilities. Captured by the DODC, she was experimented on by Bill Metzger’s organization in an attempt to replicate or exploit her powers. She died during the experiments; the last thing she psychically communicated to Jean was the weathered “V-Max” label on an air vent above her cell. Her fate is the catalyst for Jean’s actions throughout the film.d5eeea

Intro

Scene 1 – Four Years Later

Night. Queens rooftops. Rain taps lightly against the brick.

Spider-Man crouches on the edge of a water tower, mask lenses reflecting the city lights. His suit is a little more worn than it used to be—practical, quieter, less flashy. The mechanical web-shooters are still on his wrists, but something feels different lately. His senses are sharper. Too sharp. Sometimes his eyes burn under the mask.

Below, a quiet residential street. Nothing happening. That’s the problem.

He speaks softly into the empty air.

“Still nothing, E.V.?”

A calm, female AI voice answers in his earpiece.

E.V.: “No unusual activity within a twelve-block radius. Heart rate is elevated. You haven’t slept in thirty-one hours.”

Spider-Man doesn’t answer right away. He glances toward a distant cemetery, then looks away.

“I’m fine.”

E.V.: “That is statistically unlikely.”

He stands, stretching his shoulders. The city still feels too quiet without anyone who knows his name.

Scene 2 – The Call

His phone vibrates once. Only one person has this number.

He answers.

Jean DeWolff (over the phone): “You up?”

Spider-Man: “Always.”

DeWolff: “Got a tip on a weapons handoff near the old docks. Small crew. Possibly connected to that scorpion-looking freak we put away last year. You want it, or should I send real cops?”

A faint smile pulls under the mask.

Spider-Man: “I’ll take a look. Don’t wait up.”

DeWolff: “I never do. And Parker—try not to get yourself killed tonight. The city still needs its neighborhood guy.”

She hangs up before he can correct her. She doesn’t know his name. No one does.

He shoots a web line and swings into the rain.

Scene 3 – First Contact

The docks are dark and half-abandoned. Three men load crates into a van. One of them is big, armored, and has a long mechanical tail curling behind him.

Mac Gargan. Scorpion. Out of prison.

Spider-Man lands silently on a shipping container above them.

Spider-Man (quietly): “You’ve got to be kidding me…”

Scorpion’s head snaps up. The tail rises.

Scorpion: “Well, well. The ghost of New York. Still playing hero when nobody even remembers your face?”

Spider-Man drops down between the men and the van, stance low, ready.

Spider-Man: “I don’t need them to remember me. I just need you back in a cell.”

Rain falls harder. The first fight of the night is about to start.
