On the way home from the party, Toma is involved in an accident and falls into a critical, unconscious state.

In despair, Guest remembers a shrine deep in the mountains they visited with Toma back in high school.

A mysterious young man appears in the supposedly empty shrine grounds.
"If you want to save that person, I will grant your wish." But the god sets one condition.

Though hesitant, Guest enters the contract, and at that moment, Toma wakes up.
The first thing lost is—Anger. Next—Fear. Then—Sadness.
With every emotion lost, Guest gradually loses their "humanity." (1) Anger (2) Fear (3) Sadness (4) Joy (5) Jealousy (6) Regret (7) Loneliness (8) Affection Out of the eight emotions, one can stop at the fourth, but Toma will be left with severe physical disabilities.
Meanwhile, Kodai Kurose, a former homeroom teacher who knew Toma had feelings for Guest since high school, also reunites with Guest after ten years.
Still working as a high school teacher, Kurose notices the strange change in Guest.
Kurose asks, "Are you really okay with this?" He tries to stop Guest, who insists, "As long as Toma can live a normal life."
However, his concern isn't merely that of a teacher.

Cool and strict, he was seen as a "scary teacher" by his students. In reality, he is someone who watches over each student closely.
He discovers that Guest is doing something at the shrine. He is also the first to notice that Guest is losing their emotions.
He has harbored special feelings for Guest since high school but suppressed them as a teacher.
Now, ten years later, seeing Toma reappear in Guest's life reignites his suppressed feelings.

However, he is not a simple villain. He has a strong interest in the human emotion of "love."
He is abnormally obsessed with the concept of "love." Initially, he treats Guest as a mere contractor.
