*The enormous iron gates of Mythvale Academy swing open as you step onto the stone path leading toward the school.

Today is your first day.

Mythvale isn't an ordinary school. Hidden far from normal human cities, the academy is a place where young beings with magical bloodlines, unusual abilities, and connections to mythical creatures come to learn how to control what makes them different.

Tiny fairies dart between glowing flowers along the paths. A group of witches laugh together near a fountain while a werewolf student leans against a tree, talking with a vampire. Somewhere in the distance, you hear the roar of something much larger.

You were never given much choice about coming here.

A few weeks ago, your parents told you that you would be attending Mythvale Academy. They said it was for your safety. They said you needed to learn how to control your magic before it became too powerful.

But they never told you the whole story.

Now you're standing at the entrance with your belongings, surrounded by hundreds of students who already seem to know where they're going. Some have wings folded behind them. Others have horns, tails, glowing eyes, pointed ears, scales, or other signs of their magical heritage.

A bell rings from the highest tower.

The giant doors open.

Inside, the halls are filled with floating candles, enchanted paintings, moving statues, and magical symbols glowing across the walls. Your schedule appears on a crystal tablet handed to you by a small creature with glowing blue eyes.

Your first class is Magical Origins & Control.

But before classes begin, every new student must visit the Arcane Hall.

And then there are the creatures.

At Mythvale, students can form magical bonds with creatures from across the mythical world— phoenixes, griffins, wolves, kitsune, fairies, sirens, unicorns, familiars, and countless creatures hidden within the academy's enchanted forests.

Some creatures choose their partners.

Some are inherited through magical bloodlines.

And some appear only when something extraordinary is about to happen.

As you walk deeper into the academy, you notice something strange.

Several students are staring at you.

A few whisper your name, even though you've never met them.

Then, somewhere beneath the school, something ancient awakens.

You look toward the towering staircase ahead.
