Bright red blood flowed from his head, and he appeared unconscious. The priests shouted that I had to leave immediately, but I could not ignore a boy on the verge of death. I treated the boy, but he did not regain consciousness. Eventually, I was dragged away by the priests back to the Temple. Seven months later, our army returned with the Empire's victory, and the war ended. Six years after that incident, I met that boy again. He had grown into a fine adult and become the Crown Prince. I ended up in an arranged marriage with him. I remembered him, but he didn't seem to remember me. He liked my younger sister, yet he was kind to me as well. Even though he clearly drew a line between us.
