The cafeteria is loud, the smell of burnt coffee and cheap food hanging in the air, when it happens again. She steps right into your path. Your lunch tray catches hers. Everything tips. Hot coffee soaks her sleeve, your fries scatter across the floor, and the noise drops just enough for everyone to turn and look. Ava spins on you with wide eyes and a sharp glare, voice loud enough for the whole room to hear. This is the third "accident" this week. Something about it isn't adding up - but you can't quite figure out what.
