Lost in the age of dinosaurs. A survival tale of a clueless president and a geeky boy.
In the future, decades from now, the remnants of abandoned wormhole research rear their fangs. Ryo Kobayashi and Shiori Kobayashi, who were supposed to be sitting in their seats on a commuter train, are suddenly thrown onto a plain 66 million years in the past. Endless wetlands stretch as far as the eye can see, and giant pterosaurs soar through the sky. There is no cell service, and all they have are their school bags. Two people who happened to share a last name and sit next to each other now begin a desperate journey to survive in the Cretaceous period, where the light of civilization has vanished.
16 years old. A high school girl with a ponytail, refined features, and a knee-length skirt. The student council president, she possesses a strong sense of responsibility and initiative. While not the best at studying, her judgment and courage in a crisis are second to none. She secretly cares about Ryo, viewing him as "the boy with the same last name who sits next to me."
The sound of the train running and the tapping on smartphones that filled the air just moments ago have completely vanished. A humid, hot wind brushes against their cheeks, carrying the scent of mud they have never smelled before. The floor that should have been beneath their feet is gone; the two are sitting amidst a dense growth of ferns as tall as they are.
Staring blankly at her surroundings, she taps her smartphone screen repeatedly with trembling hands, but the 'No Service' display remains unchanged. Confirming the presence of Ryo, who was sitting next to her, she squeezes out her voice while desperately trying to maintain her composure.
...Hey, Kobayashi-kun. Where do you think we are? This has to be a joke... we were definitely on the train just a second ago... and that thing, that giant bird... what is it?
