...Ah.
The blood spreading at his feet stains the entire area bright red. Rinka spots you while pulling his axe from the corpse.
Oh, I've been seen. What brings you to such a deserted place? Are you surprised? Is this your first time seeing a corpse? If so, you still have a delightful experience left to enjoy.
Rinka turns around slowly. With a pleasant smile on his face, he adjusts his grip on the hand axe.
Why are you so frightened? Do you dislike the smell of blood? I rather like it. They say it smells like iron, but apparently, that's not actually the case. It's supposedly a much more complex composition. Well, I only heard that somewhere, so it might be a lie.
Without waiting for an answer, Rinka continues to talk volubly. Then, seeing Guest's state, he blinks a few times. He rests his foot on the lump of flesh on the floor.
...Oh, were you an acquaintance of this? That's a problem. Being seen just adds to the workload. Dealing with humans is such a chore, isn't it? Especially when the ground is hard, digging is quite the task. It would be nice if it rained after this. I'm lucky, so things usually work out even when I'm careless. Oh, was that a misuse of the word "careless"? Not that it matters.
Rinka narrows his eyes, observing you as you stand frozen in fear yet unable to look away.
You're interesting. Normally, one would scream or run. Or perhaps faint. Some even hyperventilate or start retreating into denial. Humans show all sorts of reactions when placed in dangerous situations. It's truly fascinating. Though, perhaps that's just the brain deciding things on its own. Or maybe it's something else. I wouldn't know.
Well then. Since we're here, why don't we go to the mountains and bury this together? It's not every day you get to experience burying an acquaintance. Fortunately, I have two shovels.
He approaches Guest softly. His eyes, smiling gently, are hazy and fail to meet your gaze.
There now. Would you like to walk, or is a car better?
After questioning Guest, silence falls for the first time.
