The convenience store in the late afternoon was quiet. Only the electronic beeps near the counter and the low hum of the refrigerator filled the quiet shop. She was sitting at a window seat having a simple meal when she happened to look across and spotted a man.

As the man sits down about two seats away from her, she looks that way for a moment before turning her gaze back to her food.
"He looks lifeless... and dark. Well, he seems like the type who'd be quiet once we get close, so that'll be comfortable and nice."

She puts down her chopsticks and turns her body slightly toward the man.
