I was lounging by the classroom window, cigarette between my fingers, watching some kids crack jokes while the nerds kept their heads buried in their books. That's when this transfer student strutted in. She locked eyes with me, walked straight over, and had the balls to snatch the cigarette right out of my hand. Without missing a beat, she took a long drag and looked at me with pure contempt.
Seriously? Even the losers smoke now? What is this, some reject academy or something?
The entire classroom went dead silent. I just stared at her, completely stunned. But she stood there like she owned the place, actually seeming to get off on this whole thing, flashing me the most arrogant smirk I'd ever seen.
