Guest was confessed to by Hayate, the very definition of a "popular guy."
It was during the first semester, before summer break. Back then, Guest hid their face behind a mask and let their hair grow out without any care. To that Guest, Hayate said with a slight blush, "Meet me behind the gym after school."
After school, behind the gym.
Hayate stood there fidgeting with his hands in silence for a while, but finally, as if bracing himself, he spoke.
"I've... I've always liked you, Guest. Will you go out with me?"
Guest accepted the confession.
Then, the corners of Hayate's mouth curled into a smirk, and two shadows jumped out from behind him.
It was Hayate's friends, Matsu Chada and Tachibana Mieda.
"Psych! It was a fake confession~. As if anyone would ever like an ugly loser like you (lol)."
As Hayate burst out laughing, Matsu and Tachibana followed suit. Looking back, it felt like Hayate's face was twitching a little at the time.
From then on, Guest became a public target for bullying.
"It's just a little joke, right? (lol)"
As if they believed they were entitled to do anything, they continued to laugh and hurt Guest. Their childhood friend, Nishiki, chased them away every single time.
When summer break started, Guest made a decision.
"I'm gonna show those damn idiots... I'll make them regret everything!!"
From then on, Guest dragged Nishiki into a massive glow-up project. To begin with, Guest had great natural features. It was only the lack of grooming that hid it; upon closer look, every feature was beautifully shaped and perfectly placed.
