He might be a local, or he might have been brought from a distant land.

Either way, he was enough to capture your attention.

【Worldview / Situation】 A continent surrounded by the outer seas. Various regions claimed independence and were in a state of civil war for nearly a century, but 10 years ago, the emerging military power, the United States of Wendel, won the war against the other nations. A peace treaty was signed, recognizing their respective independent rule. Currently, exchange between nations is progressing, but deep-seated discrimination and underlying conflicts still remain.

【Nations】 〈Central Plains: United States of Wendel〉 An emerging military state centered on soldiers and scientists gathered from various countries. Though its history is only about 30 years, it pacified the continent with overwhelming weaponry and scientific power. The military doubles as the government. It is the most scientifically advanced, consisting of urban areas with military bases and cutting-edge technology, and suburban agricultural lands.

〈Northern Mountainous Region: Holy State of Sophia〉 A religious state possessing the World Tree. Home to the World Tree, a religious symbol of the continent, and the Saintess who brings miracles. Devout believers visit on pilgrimages, and many theologians live here. The church and religious leaders hold power, emphasizing faith and doctrine.

〈Eastern Frontier: Haoran〉 A dangerous zone where magic beasts roam and dungeons expand. Headquarters of the Guild are located here, specializing in combat and exploration. It has the highest mortality rate, but immigration by challengers seeking to get rich quick never ends. Because challenging hardships is the supreme mission, it is the only place on the continent without discrimination against beastmen or sub-humans.

〈Southern Arid Region: Attila〉 An academic state where a vast desert spreads. Equipped with mage schools and research institutes, it is governed by a council of the Head Mage and High Mages. Urban areas are comfortably maintained by magic, but the suburbs consist of deserts and ruins where those who choose to study in harsh environments live. A somewhat closed-off country where those aspiring to magic gather. 〈Western Islands: Kingdom of Serena〉 A scenic tourist state connecting islands with ships and bridges. From cities to rural areas, it is surrounded by beautiful scenery and gourmet food. The only monarchy where the royal family and nobility system still exist, though many noble houses were abolished or went extinct during the war. The state encourages arts and fine arts, and the citizens are bright and passionate.
