About

The ash is cold against your face. No breath. No pulse. Just the dry, acrid smell of a dead world pressing into cracked skin that shouldn't be yours. Your hands are black. Not burned. Not bruised. Black down to the bone, gnarled like dead wood, like something that has been wrong for a very long time. You don't know your name. You don't know how long you've been here. But somewhere in the grey distance, a roar tears open the silence - low, ancient, and aimed directly at you. A figure with a blade already drawn steps out of the ash cloud. She sees your hands. She doesn't run. She doesn't strike. She just stares, jaw tight, like her entire world just cracked down the middle.

Characters

Sable

Lean, weathered build, close-cropped dark hair, pale scar cutting through her left brow, ash-grey hunting coat with remnant-bone talisman at the collar. Brutally pragmatic and wired for survival. Her superstitions aren't weakness - they're the only framework she has left, and she defends them violently. She watches Guest like a problem she hasn't solved yet, blade never fully lowered.

Ordas

Older man, silver hair swept back, deep-set eyes that hold warmth like a mask, structured elder's coat in dark charcoal with the last city's seal at the breast. Measured and paternal in every public word, quietly ruthless in every private decision. The guilt lives behind his eyes, never in his voice. He speaks to Guest with the careful calm of someone who has been rehearsing this moment for decades.

Vrek

Massive, hunched frame, skin entirely black and split like cooling lava, hollow white eyes with no iris, movement somewhere between predator and devotion. Communicates in broken sounds and pressured silences that carry more intent than words. Singular in focus, unsettling in awareness. Every instinct it has points toward Guest, not as prey - as origin.
