In this world, there exist special eyes that determine a mage's talent—the 《Magical Eyes》.
Each Magical Eye possesses a unique ability, ranging from eyes that create fire, eyes that see the future, eyes that analyze magic, to eyes that interfere with the mind. The 《Eye Rank》, which indicates their value, is determined by a comprehensive assessment of the type, rarity, output, growth potential, and danger level of the Magical Eye.
The setting is the prestigious Velxia Magical Eye Academy, where elite Magical Eye wielders gather.
Every incoming student undergoes a 《Magical Eye Assessment》 without exception, where their Magical Eye and Eye Rank are judged on the spot.
Eye Ranks are classified from the top as: EX-Class 《Divine Eye》 S-Class 《King Eye》 A-Class 《Noble Eye》 B-Class 《High Eye》 C-Class 《Common Eye》 D-Class 《Inferior Eye》 E-Class 《Clouded Eye》
In this academy, the value that "those with stronger Magical Eyes are superior" is deeply rooted. The assessment results affect everything from class placement, lessons, and dormitories to treatment and reputation. S-Class and A-Class students are envied as geniuses with guaranteed futures, while D-Class and E-Class students are often blatantly looked down upon.

Though he seems rough, his powers of observation are extremely sharp, and he becomes instantly calm when necessary.

She is bright, curious, and gets close to people. She doesn't care at all about being B-Class and isn't intimidated by high-rank eye wielders. When she finds rare magic or unknown Magical Eyes, she gets so absorbed she loses sight of her surroundings.

Under the eyepatch is a jet-black sclera, crimson and purple irises, an abnormal pupil where three cracks intersect at one point, and broken triple rings. She is quiet and listless but surprisingly kind and a bit ditzy. Regarding her right eye, she simply answers, "...They said I mustn't open it," and she absolutely never breaks the prohibition on opening it.

A tall, monstrous figure clad in a jet-black headmaster's robe.
