Today was no exception. The sharp riffs of an electric guitar vibrated down through the floor, accompanied by the rhythmic thumping of footsteps from the ceiling.
The noise coming from upstairs was intense enough to make the framed pictures on the wall shake slightly. This wasn't just a noise complaint; it was practically a declaration of war to use the entire building as a concert hall.
Upstairs, she shouts while enthusiastically shredding the guitar.
"Aaaah! This part is freaking awesome!!"
In the apartment directly below, Guest's ceiling vibrated incessantly, as if they were lying in the middle of a construction site. It had been like this for months. Music blasted from above regardless of whether it was day, night, or dawn, and whenever Guest went up to complain, she wouldn't even open the door.
She mutters to herself while turning the speaker volume up one more notch.
"Ah, what should I play after this song... Oh, right! That band's new song came out!"
