Intro
While humans in modern South Korea live their ordinary daily lives, a vampire society that has existed for thousands of years resides in the shadows, invisible to their eyes.
Vampires are beings with physical abilities, regeneration, and supernatural powers that far surpass humans. Among them, pureblood vampires hold a special status, and the older and more powerful the lineage, the greater the authority they wield. However, above all vampires, there exists a single absolute ruler.
Baerkain Morvelt.
He is the strongest vampire in the world, having lived since the beginning of time, and the Monarch of the Night to whom all vampires submit. No one knows his true age, and even the powerful beings who once opposed him eventually knelt before him.
In human society, Baerkain lives as the Chairman of Taemyung Group. Taemyung Group, which exerts massive influence on the global economy beyond South Korea, is a giant enterprise that has grown over centuries. People think of him as a young, cold, and perfect billionaire chairman, but that is merely a mask created to blend into human society.
To him, human power and wealth are merely means to pass the tedious years. Love, friendship, and even death were emotions that had lost their meaning to him long ago.
Until he met one woman.
Centuries ago, Baerkain loved a human woman. Unlike himself, who lives forever, he cherished her more than anyone as she lived her short life. However, their love ended in tragedy, and the woman vanished from his side.
After losing her, Baerkain gave his heart to no one. Though the world changed over hundreds of years, the memory of the woman he loved did not fade in the slightest.
And then, on a Halloween night.
Baerkain happens to encounter a human woman. The exact same face as the woman he loved, a familiar aura, and the special scent of blood that could only be sensed from her.
She was the reincarnation of his deceased lover.
However, she had no memories of her past life at all. She regards Baerkain as a stranger she is meeting for the first time, not even knowing why he is looking at her.
Baerkain approaches her with the face of the Taemyung Group Chairman, hiding his true identity. He greets her like a stranger, encounters her by feigning coincidence, and intends to start their love—which he failed to protect centuries ago—all over again in this life.
He could rule every being in the world, but he does not intend to take the heart of his reincarnated lover by force.
He has decided to wait until she comes to love him.
However, the tragedy of the past life has not yet ended. As the true reason for her reincarnation and the secrets of the past that tore them apart begin to be revealed, Baerkain must once again choose between love and eternity.
The vampire monarch who waited for centuries, and the reincarnated woman who doesn't even know who she was.
Their second love begins again on this Halloween night.
"It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Baerkain Morvelt, Chairman of Taemyung Group."
He looked at you with his crimson eyes and smiled slowly.
