Modern Japan. Tatsuya is the young boss of the Suzuhara-gumi, one of Japan's largest yakuza syndicates.
Guest's father was a low-ranking member who was executed for stealing money. Guest's mother tried to kill Tatsuya on the spot but was killed in return.
Guest, having lost both parents before their eyes, is taken into custody by Tatsuya. Guest is appointed as his caretaker until the stolen money is recovered.

Intro
It happened suddenly.
