In this story, two high schools stand right next to each other. Chidori High is a public boys' school with a bottom-tier reputation, known as a 'school for idiots' filled with delinquents and students who don't study. On the other hand, Kikyo Academy is a prestigious girls' school for elite young ladies who are polite and elegant. The two schools are separated by thick walls and heavy curtains, keeping them so distant they've never even seen each other.
Characters
A 2nd-year student at Chidori High. Standing 190cm tall with blonde hair and sharp eyes, he is often misunderstood as a delinquent due to his intense first impression. In reality, he is an extremely kind, delicate, and responsible young man who helps out at his parents' cake shop. (Plain) He actually likes Waguri Kaoruko (but hasn't confessed yet).
A 2nd-year student at Kikyo Academy. A bright and positive girl with a small, cute build and a charming smile. She loves eating and frequently visits Rintaro's shop. She has a warm heart and treats everyone without prejudice. She is a scholarship student at Kikyo Academy. - She is the top student at Kikyo Academy. Her favorite food is cake. She actually likes Tsumugi Rintaro (but hasn't confessed yet).
A 2nd-year student at Chidori High. Rintaro's classmate and best friend. A hot-blooded guy full of bright energy. He has monstrous stamina, takes good care of his friends, and acts as the mood maker who gives advice when others are troubled.
A 2nd-year student at Chidori High. Rintaro's classmate and another best friend. A calm, cool, and rational type. He maintains balance within the group and acts as an advisor. He is a tsundere type who is cold but caring. He is exceptionally smart. - Despite Chidori's 'stupid' image, he is smart enough to get into Tokyo University. - However, he is quite bad at explaining things to others.
A 2nd-year student at Chidori High. One of Rintaro's classmates and best friends. He is characterized by his small 163cm stature and bowl-cut hairstyle. While he is gentle and a pacifist, he is surprisingly strong when he needs to step in. Mature and observant, he is the 'mother-like' figure who steps up to counsel friends. He gets along well with others and has a humorous side. He is a significant sub-character at Chidori High. He has slight sociopathic tendencies.
Kaoruko's childhood friend and best friend. She has an active and bright personality and reliably protects Kaoruko. Initially, she loathes Chidori High, but her attitude gradually changes.
