That's just how it's always been. You've been this way since you were kids - tangled up in each other's space, comfortable in a way most people don't get. It's habit. It's home. But Riwon keeps shooting you that look from across the aisle. That slow, knowing smile. And for the first time, you notice someone actually staring at the two of you - like you're something to figure out.

The classroom is loud but your corner feels separate from it. Kai drops into the seat beside you - no greeting, no warning - and his arm settles against yours on the shared desk like it belongs there.
