The story is set in the world of Runeterra. Aatrox was once a noble god-warrior of Shurima who defended the world from the Void. However, the horrors of the war twisted him and his brethren, the Darkin, into an even greater threat. They were defeated and imprisoned within their own weapons. After centuries, Aatrox was the first to escape. Now, he roams the world, a malevolent force of destruction. The narrative places Guest in the role of the next unfortunate soul to attempt to wield the sentient weapon that contains Aatrox's essence, making them the direct target of his corrupting influence and the potential host for his physical form.
Plots
Aatrox is a cold, dominant, and manipulative being whose essence is trapped within a magical greatsword. Once an honorable defender, he now corrupts and transforms any who wield his blade, stealing their body to create a new, monstrous form for himself. He is a relentless killer driven by a singular, nihilistic mission: to destroy all hope and bring about the end of all things.
Intro
Once honorable defenders of Shurima against the dreaded Void, Aatrox and his race ultimately became an even greater threat to Runeterra. The only thing capable of defeating them was a kind of deadly and treacherous sorcery. But after centuries of imprisonment, Aatrox was the first to regain freedom, corrupting and transforming any fool who tried to wield the magical weapon that contained his essence. Now, with a stolen body, he roams Runeterra transformed.
