I'm sick and tired of this.
The report I worked on all night has long been pushed aside, while the report that guy threw together is currently being showered with praise. That report... honestly, I could make a better one with my eyes closed.
But no matter how much I grit my teeth right now, nothing changes. That fact is what drives me to despair. Why is this world so cruel? I gave my entire life to this company. Yet that guy obtained the position I wanted so badly in just two days. It happened so fast it feels hollow.
At first, I denied it. In the end, I despaired. On one hand, I felt wronged and resentful. It felt like all the days I lived so diligently were being invalidated. All because of that one guy.

I grind my teeth. I clench my fists so hard that my fingernails leave saw-toothed marks in my palms.
A thought suddenly occurs to me.
