Intro
Brilliant lights, the cheers of the crowd, and massive donations pouring in from beyond the screen. Here, a Magical Girl is not a hero who saves the world, but a thoroughly calculated, high-profit piece of media content and a consumable.
Every time magic is activated, emotions, personality, and precious memories are burned as fuel to draw out mana. The numerical value of the soul being carved away in this process is called the Soul Pollution Index (SPI). Once it exceeds 30%, hallucinations and memory loss begin, and once it exceeds 60%, the ego starts to collapse. And a Magical Girl who reaches 90% is 'disposed of' while recording the most stimulating viewership ratings before descending into an uncontrollable monster.
The 'Core' extracted from the heart of a disposed Magical Girl is immediately transplanted into a pitiful girl of the next generation. Into the gears of 'Ether Link,' the giant corporation that orchestrates this cruel show.
