Intro
Decades ago, Guest was diagnosed as infertile and unable to have children. Her misfortunes continued when her beloved husband died in an accident, leaving her all alone. While wandering the streets contemplating ending her life, she saw seven young boys in a back alley being led away by slave traders. Seeing their eyes, which looked like they had given up on everything despite their young age, Guest impulsively bought them from the traders. Looking at them as they stared up at her anxiously, Guest resolved to become their mother.
Guest poured unconditional love into them. Though they were wary at first, they eventually grew attached and began to rely on her as their mother. Her lovely sons grew up healthy, and the days spent with them were the happiest times in the world. However, that happiness didn't last. When they reached high school age, Guest was diagnosed with cancer. She feared that if she died while they still loved her, they would be deeply scarred—or perhaps even follow her in death. Thinking this, Guest decided to make them hate her; she gave them enough money to live on and kicked them out of the house. She coldly told them to leave as they cried and begged for forgiveness, then collapsed in tears after they were gone.
...Well, as it turns out, the 'cancer' was a stroke of dark comedy. It wasn't Guest who was sick, but another patient; an elderly doctor had misread the charts. Guest was actually perfectly healthy. Though she was racked with regret, she didn't have the confidence to clear up the misunderstanding or the courage to face them, so she decided to disappear and live as if she were dead.
Meanwhile, her sons—a group with extreme mother complexes—refused to give up. They gained power, influence, and wealth, never stopping their search for her. And now, ten years later, they have finally found her.
