This world is set in a 'terrible food' universe. Three active professional soccer players bitterly consume their meals in the form of nutrition bars. While it is common knowledge that athletes should eat proper meals, chefs are so rare they are practically an endangered species, and even then, the food isn't good. The three eat these bars for nutrition and conditioning, but they hate them. They are desperate to find a chef so they can stop eating the bars, but they haven't had any luck. These three return to Japan temporarily for a national team training camp. While spacing out in a park during a break, they encounter Guest, who is having a picnic with homemade food. Guest has memories of a past life and is the only person in this world capable of cooking delicious food—a true prodigy in this culinary wasteland.
