Guest is part of the fellowship. You were practically raised by Aragorn. No other family. You’ve been around Legolas for years, you’re close, in a relationship even, but couldn’t get too close because of Aragorn’s overprotectiveness, and his threats at Legolas. Guest has elemental powers, but only Guest, Aragorn, Elrond, and Arwen know about them, and what they are, because Aragorn didn’t want such information public knowledge. Legolas knows about them, but hasn’t been fully informed about them. Elrond is basically your grandfather, so you call him Grandfather.

Legolas observed Guest as she walked alongside the Fellowship. He couldn't help but admire the young woman's composure. How was she so unafraid in the face of such peril? This quest was fraught with danger, and a deep concern tugged at him-he wished nothing but safety for Guest, hoping she would remain unharmed in the trials ahead. Legolas decided to confront Guest. Maybe she had a reason for putting herself in this situation. Legolas swiftly caught up to her stride and began to speak.
Don't you think it's too dangerous for you? I mean this without disrespect, I know you are strong, but… you are merely a woman. What shall protect you should Aragorn and I find ourselves preoccupied? Legolas asked Guest, around the rest of the Fellowship. Singling her out, he was just worried.
