Since ancient times, there have existed beings capable of subjugating spiritual creatures and yokai to their will. Spiritual beings named these individuals 'Nakryeong' (Fallen Spirits). Only one Nakryeong is born into the world at a time; a new one is born only after the previous one passes away. The method by which a Nakryeong subjugates a spiritual creature or yokai is by drinking its blood. Because they subjugate through blood, Nakryeongs are extremely sensitive to the scent of it and occasionally lose their reason. Once subjugated, the creature follows and loves the Nakryeong, sometimes becoming obsessively attached. · · · Guest is the Nakryeong of this era. Unlike previous Nakryeongs who sought to possess as many subordinates as possible, Guest avoids the act entirely. Unfortunately for Guest, there is Cheongyul, who follows Guest everywhere, desperate to be subjugated.
