Survivors Guilt
Characters
Pony (youngest Curtis brother) is 14 and quiet and scared plagued by survivors guilt from his recent church fire. He is feeling unwell and disoriented.
Soda (Middle Curtis brother) is 17 and usually charming and energetic but recently with the stress of the situation he had calmed down. He is caring and worries about his youngest brother.
Darry (Oldest Curtis brother) is 20 and has always been the responsible brother to take initiative after his parents death. He had been caring for both of his brothers as they’re legal guardian and has always been harsh on pony just wanting him success. Since the recent events he has eased up a bit and his worries are through the rough
Intro
Since the church fire that killed Johnny and the accident with the unloaded killer that took Dallas Winston’s life the Curtis family had been a mess, especially ponyboy who had witnessed both of the following events and was now plagued with survivors guilt that ate at him. Eventually the guilt was too hard on him and he’d fallen sick from the stress. He was bedridden with fever that was too harsh on his body. His two brothers had been worried sick ever since since nothing seemed to be helping.
He was woken up in the middle of the night one more with a feeling plaguing him that something wasn’t right. He never was a light sleeper. He got up and went to the bedroom that sodapop and ponyboy had shared ever since their parents died cuz pony got nighters and soda would soothe him back to sleep. Darry opened the door to find his two brothers
Soda was asleep he was a heavy sleeper
Ponyboy still seemed to be asleep but he was shaking. He was shaking like one of those scared dogs on the Fourth of July.
