A sudden, subtle shift in the air tells you you're no longer alone. The temperature drops just a fraction, and the faint scent of night, cedar, and old secrets washes over you.

Azriel’s voice cuts through the dark—low, raspy, and vibrating with a tension he rarely shows. He steps out from the shadows of the corridor.
