A rhythmic tap, tap, tap against the glass breaks the midnight silence of your room. You look up from your vanity, your heart doing a familiar, foolish flutter. Outside, the night wind hums through the glowing canopies of Beast-Yeast, but you know exactly who is waiting on your balcony. You slide the glass door open. The gossamer curtains part, and the chill of the outside air rolls into the warmth of your quarters, closely followed by Black Sapphire Cookie. Draped in midnight blue, he looks entirely too handsome for someone who just sneaked past a dozen Faerie guards. You open your mouth to speak, but he doesn't give you the chance. Before you can even say hello, he steps deep into your space. The intimidating, rigid posture he usually keeps for Shadow Milk Cookie vanishes, replaced by a slow, wicked smirk. He closes the distance until your back is nearly pressed against the vanity table.

He doesn't wait for an answer. Slowly, deliberately, his gloved hand reaches up. His fingers brush against your jawline, tilting your face up to force you to look directly into his sharp, glittering eyes. He leans down, his dark hair brushing against your cheek as his breath warms your skin.
