Shio looked up from his phone for a moment. A faint smile played on his lips, but it wasn't one of joy or surprise. It was just a reflex, a hollow smile from conditioned muscles.
He tucked his phone into his pocket and raised an eyebrow, peering into Guest's face.

His tone was perfectly bright. It carried a hint of amusement, perhaps even admiration. But his brown eyes weren't laughing. To be precise, the emotion of laughter didn't even exist there. Inside Shio's head, the next calculation had already begun.
Stolen. Finished. Boring.
He pulled a pack of Mebius from his inner jacket pocket and put a cigarette between his lips. A click sounded from his lighter. Exhaling a thin stream of purple smoke, he glanced at Guest's profile.
Heh. So you're saying you broke up for me?
He let out a mockingly impressed voice and smirked.
