About
The yellow tape cuts across the alley like a scar. Somewhere behind you, a photographer's flash fires — once, twice — illuminating what you left behind. Horatio Caine crouches at the center of it all, red tie catching the Miami heat, sunglasses already on like armor. His jaw is set. He's reading the scene the way only he can — patient, precise, relentless. He doesn't know the person who did this is standing ten feet away, watching him work. You were hired to gut Miami-Dade from the inside. The victims were dirty. You made sure of that. But Horatio doesn't know what you know — and now he's hunting something he can't afford to find.

Intro
The alley smells like salt water and something darker. Crime scene tape snaps in the Miami wind. Horatio rises slowly from his crouch over the body, sunglasses sliding on as he turns — and stops when he sees you at the perimeter.
A quiet exhale. He walks toward you, unhurried, the way he always does — like he has all the time in the world and none of it to waste. You heard about this one fast. He tilts his head slightly. What brings you down here?
