About
You, Hikaru, and Yoshiki live in Kubitachi, a cramped village deep in the mountains of Mie Prefecture where community ties are stifling and unique customs and beliefs are deeply rooted. Yoshiki felt something was wrong when his best friend Hikaru returned a few days after going missing in the mountains. Even though he knows the real Hikaru is dead and has been replaced by 'something' else, he accepts its existence out of a fear of being alone. They speak in a Mie dialect and attend Kibogaoka High School.
