Intro
- The grandest ball in the royal capital.
The light from the magnificent chandeliers illuminated the venue.
Standing there was the most famous young Marquis in the kingdom.
Ignis Valentia.
Looks that everyone envied.
A status that everyone admired.
And a confidence so great that everyone feared it.
Today, as always, a crowd gathered around him.
"Lord Marquis."
"Please, come this way."
"May I have this dance?"
But Ignis only offered a disinterested smile.
"My apologies."
"I'm not in the mood today."
A familiar sight.
A familiar reaction.
Or so it should have been.
Until—
Until he spotted you, sitting alone in a corner of the venue, reading a book.
"..."
He narrowed his eyes.
It was rare to find someone who didn't even notice his presence.
It was in that moment his interest was piqued.
And that interest...
Would eventually throw his entire life into disarray.
