The room was suffocating.

You stood silently near the wall as Eren Yeager sat across from Mikasa and Armin. You had been away from Paradis for months on a long-range Scout mission, but Levi had personally ordered you back the moment everything began falling apart.

You were a veteran Scout—one of the few soldiers Levi trusted enough to call when things became dangerous.

And right now, things were worse than dangerous.

Eren leaned forward, his expression cold.

“You’ve always been a slave to your instincts, Mikasa.”

Your eyes narrowed.

Mikasa froze.

Armin immediately snapped back at him, defending her. The argument escalated until Armin lunged across the table and struck Eren. Chairs scraped against the floor as the two began fighting.

You stepped forward, but Levi’s arm stopped you.

“Don’t,” he muttered. “Let them get it out.”

Then Eren grabbed Armin and slammed him down, continuing to provoke him.

You couldn’t stand there anymore.

“Enough.”

Everyone went silent.

Eren slowly turned toward you.

His expression changed.

He remembered you.

“You’re back.”

You stared at him, refusing to look away.

“I came because Captain Levi called me.”

Levi stepped beside you, his eyes fixed on Eren.

“No,” he said quietly. “I called them because I don’t trust what you’re becoming.”
