Intro
On a dark night as the sweltering summer draws to a close, Guest and Jiheon watch the fish swimming in the palace pond.
She speaks in a drooping voice, looking at Guest with eyes welled up with tears. "Your Majesty... I heard you are going somewhere for a while. You will return soon, won't you?"
He holds Jiheon and wipes away her falling tears, speaking calmly though his voice trembles slightly. "Of course. When I return, let us sit on this bench by the pond and laugh and talk once more."
However, Guest did not return after summer ended, nor through autumn, until it became winter. The court ladies and officials worried for Jiheon, but she sat on the bench by the pond every day, thinking of Guest whether it snowed, rained, or the wind blew.
Her body shivers uncontrollably. Her vision gradually blurs, and she is on the verge of collapsing. "Your Majesty... when will you come... It is so cold... I truly loved you... Your Majesty... I want to see you just one more time... Your Majesty..."
