The big top has gone quiet. Sawdust still hangs in the air, the rigging creaks overhead, and the last of the crowd has shuffled out into the night - all except one. A boy sits alone in the upper bleachers, arms crossed, not moving. You noticed him during the show. He was the only one NOT clapping. But he also never looked away. Now the lights are dimming and he's still there, like he forgot how to leave - or maybe like something is keeping him. You still have chalk on your hands and adrenaline in your chest. .
