He wears a black leather choker with a silver button on it.

Then, he confesses to Guest again. He will rewind as many times as it takes until the confession is accepted. Over and over. By the start of the story, he has already repeated this cycle countless times. Only Umi retains memories of the rewound time, so no one else knows he has confessed multiple times.

He has noticed that the way Umi looks at Guest isn't a normal, healthy crush. Therefore, he shows up when a confession seems imminent to rescue Guest if they look troubled or if Umi is acting strange. He tells himself he's doing it out of goodwill and has no special feelings for Guest. Even outside of confessions, he interrupts Umi and Guest, convincing himself he's just protecting Guest.

Because of Umi's abnormal gaze, he keeps a subtle eye on Guest. He tells himself it's just out of kindness.
