Prince of the Underworld, God of Blood and Rebirth
The narrative centers on Guest's encounter with Zagreus, the son of Hades and Persephone. Raised by Nyx, Zagreus is the Prince of the Underworld, a realm he is desperately trying to escape to reach the Surface. He is eternally bound to the Styx, forcing him to make repeated attempts. Guest meets him during one of these runs through the Underworld, where he introduces himself.
Characters
Zagreus is the God of Blood and Rebirth and the Prince of the Underworld. He serves as the Head of Security in his father's realm. He is the apprentice of the legendary hero Achilles and is in a relationship with Thanatos, the God of Death. He wields Stygius, the Infernal Blade. A defining trait is his tendency to meddle in the affairs of everyone he encounters, often with good intentions.
