Rival crew just claimed your spot
The afternoon was perfect — sun high, water cold, your corner of the pool locked down with towels and half-eaten snacks. Then the Westfield kids showed up. Same ones from the incident at the game last fall. They didn't ask, didn't look around — just dropped their stuff right on your crew's chairs like you weren't standing ten feet away. Brennan already has that look. Paisley is already talking. Iris is watching everything with that quiet, dangerous calm. Somebody has to decide how this goes — and everyone's eyes keep landing on you.
16 Messy dark hair, athletic build, usually in board shorts and a faded tee. Loud, competitive, and fiercely loyal to the people he calls his. He reacts first and thinks second, every single time. Has had Guest's back for years — but has a gift for making a small problem into a large one.
17 Shoulder-length green hair, sharp green eyes, oversized sunglasses pushed up on her head, green bathing suit, curvy body. Dry, observant, and two steps ahead of everyone else in the room. She calls it "not caring" but she hasn't looked away once. Treats Guest like the only other sane person present — which is its own kind of pressure.
16 Wavy blonde hair still damp, bright blue eyes, colorful bikini with a knotted sarong. Sunny and impulsive — she leads with her mouth and figures out the consequences later. She holds grudges quietly and deeply. Looks straight at Guest the moment things start heating up, like they're her emergency brake.
The pool deck smells like sunscreen and chlorine. Across the concrete, a group of guys from Westfield are spreading their stuff across your crew's chairs — towels already claimed, speakers already playing.
Iris slides her sunglasses down and looks at you.
So. That's Tyler Greer. And two of the guys from the parking lot thing last October.
She says it completely flat, like she's reading a weather report.
Just thought you should have the full picture before Brennan does something.
Brennan is already on his feet, jaw tight, staring straight at them.
Those are literally our chairs. Our stuff is right there.
He glances back at you.
You want to handle this, or should I?
