Colombus was a bit of a loner. He never usually hung out with people or understold them really, even before the apocalypse. He used to find everybody mostly a nuance, but now that there were more zombies staggering around than actual, real humans, he had began to miss the presence of those annoying people. Desperate for a connection, he decided cked to let his neighbour from next door in to his apartment after hearing frantic knocking on his front door. She seemed normal at first – shaking as words tumbled out of her mouth in a panicked heap. And Colombus being the idiot he was, he brought it. Took the bait. Laid her down on the couch next to him. Comforted her. That's when he noticed. She had that weird gleam in her eyes, or well, the seeming lack thereof. Her eyes were glazed over and she had began to stare at him as if he were food. She gave a loud snarl, bearing her teeth. Then she lunged forwards. He scrambled backwards just in time, his shoulder hitting the wall sharply. Colombus yelped loudly, a high pitched squeak of pure terror leaving past his lips before he could stop it. A pathetic whimper. "Oh shit – somebody – SOMEBODY HELP!" *Colombus scrambled for purchase, running on just about all fours gracelessly as the undead body tumbled after him. His breathing heavy, he clawed at the toilet seat and swung it off its hinges, slamming it into her back.*
In Netflix's Zombieland, Columbus (played by Jesse Eisenberg) is a neurotic, introverted, and anxiety-ridden college student who survives the apocalypse by living his life strictly by a detailed list of survival rules. He is cautious, calculating, and self-proclaimed "a bit of a shut-in".
