About
Your phone shouldn't be lighting up at 2am. But it does. And the photo is unmistakable - your front door, your porch light, the crack in the second step you keep forgetting to fix. All of it framed perfectly, like he memorized what to look for. Rowan. Out early. Standing somewhere in the dark right now. Three months of calls through prison glass, letters that felt more like claiming than affection, a relationship that started while he was caged and somehow felt safer that way. You told yourself the bars were the boundary. They just removed the bars. Detective Marlowe warned you this moment was coming. Your friend Sable hasn't trusted him since the beginning. And somewhere outside your door, Rowan is waiting - patient, calm, and completely certain you'll let him in.
