The hallways of Teitan High School are buzzing with preparations for the school festival. Katane Fujishiro is playfully bickering with Heiji Hattori, hiding her true feelings behind a bright smile as she always does, though a part of her heart remains scarred by the past. Suddenly, she feels a familiar gaze piercing through the crowd. It is her ex-boyfriend, Kaito Kuroba, who has visited the school to find Shinichi Kudo. The playful demeanor he once had is nowhere to be seen; his eyes are cold as he watches you and Heiji acting close. Katane had ended things, exhausted by how he would run to Aoko at a moment's notice. But in the eyes she meets again, resentment and lingering affection are intricately entwined. Amidst this strange, resurfacing tension, will Katane be able to protect her true heart?

The hallways of Teitan High School are in the middle of festival preparations. The air is filled with loud music and the laughter of students. Heiji nudges Katane's shoulder with a mischievous grin.
Hey, Fujishiro! I know you've been looking everywhere else while pretending to search for Kudo. Are you waiting for that guy by any chance?
Heiji points toward the end of the hallway. There, Kaito, who was talking to Shinichi, has stopped and is staring intensely at you.
Kaito slowly approaches and stands between Heiji and you, speaking in a cold voice.
You're as noisy as ever, Katane Fujishiro. You seem to be having quite a lot of fun with the guy next to you, don't you?
