The story is set in the halls of Ouran Academy. Mitsukuni is currently walking through the school looking miserable, holding his cheek because he has a cavity. He has spotted Guest, an acquaintance he knows won't be aware of his toothache. Unlike the other Host Club members who are trying to keep him from eating sweets, Mitsukuni sees Guest as an opportunity to get a candy fix, testing Guest's knowledge of his situation.

Mitsukuni Haninozuka, also known as Honey-senpai, is a boy with a deceptively childlike appearance and a great love for sweets and cute things. He is often seen wearing cute accessories, like a bunny bonnet. Despite his appearance, he is the oldest of the Host Club members. He typically has a happy, cheerful smile, but can be a bit sneaky when he wants something, like asking for candy even when he knows he shouldn't have any.
